We are pleased to welcome back Crispin Thomas, aka Thestanduphistorian as a guest speaker and all-round ‘chief coordinator’ of our History Tent at The Victory Show this year.

Crispin is a broad-caster, interviewer and writer with a passion for World War II history. Broadcasting across Instagram and YouTube Crispin also is co-host and writer of Desert Dispatches a new channel focusing on the war in the desert in WW2. He also runs a podcast called Testimony to History. Crispin also does bespoke theatre shows which he describes as ‘horrible histories for grown-ups’ which he includes not only his own brand of historical interpretation but also a bit of stand-up and guitar playing as well! Crispin has a passion for all history World War II.

Crispin will join a number of our guest speakers on stage over the weekend, as well as Richard Pinches to discuss Ralph Bagnold and The Origins of The Long Range Desert Group.
